About the Artist
Ms. Danielle Di Stefano comes highly recommended as a classically trained soprano, opera historian, music educator, surtitlist, author and award-winning opera advocate in the WNY/Ontario region
and throughout the US.
She attended SUNY Fredonia for Vocal Performance and
Buffalo State University for Artistic Entrepreneurship.
Danielle has studied with the world-renowned Sir Richard Bonynge and her mentor, the legendary soprano Aprile Millo.
She continues her studies with Dr. Maria Vetere,
Historical Musicologist, Voice/Opera Coach and Pianist.
For crossover to Broadway and Jazz, she trained with Andy Anselmo, vocal coach for Lisa Minnelli, Tony Bennett, Julie Andrews and many other beloved stars.
Danielle made her operatic debut at 16, and has sung internationally in Europe, Canada, and throughout the country.
Her ministry is to share the beauty of music with the world,
touching hearts to bring joy and healing to as many as possible.
She has combined her expertise, love of opera and history to create
coloring books, music education classes, art, and a novel inspired by
opera and classical music.
For 11 years, she has held the position of Artistic Director at the
Erwin H. Johnson Memorial Fund for Opera, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) supporting and promoting opera in Western New York/Ontario.
She’s the creator, organizer, and educator of their outreach program, Singing it Forward, writing and teaching opera and music history courses for adults and school children.
Over the years, Ms. Di Stefano’s passion, discipline, and meticulous work ethic has earned her three awards for opera advocacy from Opera Volunteers International, dedicated to opera volunteerism.
Danielle is now the Northeast Regional Director for OVI as she continues her promotion of this cherished artform.
